Q: What kinds of checks do you cash?​
A: We cash all kinds of checks: computerized and handwritten payroll, personal checks, insurance checks, cashier’s checks, and government checks. We also cash money orders, traveler’s checks, and out-of-state checks. We also cash large settlement checks, title company checks, workers comp checks, legal settlement checks, lump sum settlement checks and many more.

Q: Is there a check amount that you won’t cash? ​
A: We can cash most checks subject to certain restrictions. We do not cash checks
issued from foreign countries unless drawn on a United States bank account.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to cash a check?​
A: Simply bring a government issued photo ID (i.e., driver’s license, military ID,
passport). We require a current ID for money transfer transactions. If you have not ID please contact our offices at 972-466-2332 x1.

Q: What is the amount of the fee you charge to cash my check?​
A: You’ll find our fee schedules posted in the lobby of each location. Our fees are generally lower than our competition. Click here for a fee schedule.

Q: Do you have ATM’s located in Cliff’s Check Cashing? ​
A: Yes, we offer ATM services at all of our locations. You can obtain cash in
increments of $10.00 and up. We have no maximum limit other than those imposed by your card issuer.

Cliff’s Finance Personal Installment Loan

Q: What do I need to bring with me in order to get Personal Installment Loan?​
A: Proof of income (pay stub, direct deposit, bank statement, etc.), a valid
government issued photo ID (i.e., driver’s license, military ID, passport).

Q: How much can I receive with an installment loan?​
A: You may be eligible to receive amounts ranging from $100 – $1,760.

Q: How do you decide what amount I will receive?​
A: We determine the amount to offer based on your income and other information
provided by you. We do perform a credit check. View our Privacy Policy.

Q: How much does it cost?​
A: Please come into a Cliff’s store and we can provide you with a quote or click here
for a fee schedule.

Q: What if I change my mind after taking out Personal Installment Loan?​
A: The acquisition fee is a non-refundable fee that is earned by Cliff’s Finance at the
time the loan is made. Unearned interest is always refundable depending on the
length of time before cancellation.

Q: What should I do if I am unable to pay my installment loan on time?​
A: If you are unable to repay your installment loan on time, you have up to ten days to pay without incurring a late charge. Please contact our loan department to discuss your being late. It’s best customer practice to keep us informed.

Q: If I currently have personal loan through another lender, can I get another
installment loan here?​
A: You can apply for a loan as it is not prohibited to have more than one Texas
regulated installment loan at a time. We will take all of your outstanding debt and
income information under review as we would on any new Cliff’s Finance Personal
Installment Loan.

MoneyGram Money Transfer® Services

Q: Can I send money to pay one of my bills?​
A: Yes. All of our locations offer MoneyGram Money Transfer® services.

Q: What do I need to bring with me in order to use MoneyGram?​
A: Bring a valid government issued photo ID (i.e., driver’s license, military ID,
passport). You will also need to provide your name, address, telephone number and
date of birth. Cliff’s may also require other transactional details.

Q: How much will it cost me to use MoneyGram?​
A: Fees* are determined at the store by MoneyGram at the time of the transaction.

Money Orders

Q: How much do you charge for a money order?​
A: We never charge a fee for purchasing a money order when cashing a check at Cliff’s – they are always FREE! At Cliff’s you only pay for Money Orders when you do not cash a check. The fee for a $1,000 money order is $1.00.

Q: Will you cash a money order?​
A: Yes. We will cash any money order, for any amount.

Q: What do I do if my money order is lost or stolen?​
A: Your money order receipt stub is required for stop payment and as proof of purchase. A replacement of the money order will not be considered until 30 days after purchase date and a fee will be charged for this service. Other fees may apply. Click here to start a money order replacement.

Q: How much does it cost to place a stop payment on a money order?​
A: $12.00

Q: Do I need an account at Cliff’s in order to purchase a money order?​
A: Yes, we require a Cliff’s account in order to perform a financial transaction such
as a money order or a bill payment.

Q: Can I bring in a document to be notarized?​
A: No, Cliff’s does not offer notary services.

Q: Can I send or receive a fax from an Cliff’s location?​
A: Yes, you can send and receive faxes at every Cliff’s location – domestically and internationally. To send a fax domestically the fee is $2.00 per page. To send a fax internationally the fee is $2.00 per page. To receive a fax the fee is $2.00 per page.

Q: Can I make copies?​
A: Yes, you can make black and white photocopies at each Cliff’s location for $ .25​ per page.

Q: Can I buy stamps and envelopes?​
A: Yes, we sell stamps for face value plus $.25 for single stamps and plus $3.00 for
books of stamps. Envelopes are $ .25 cents per envelope.

Q: Can I pay my utility bills at a Cliff’s location?​
A: You most likely can. See our *list of billers that includes TXU Electric, Atmos Reliant Energy, Texas Child Support, Texas Criminal Justice, NTTA and more. Bring your current monthly bill or account number for any of our listed billers to any Cliff’s location to pay your bill quickly and easily. If you don’t see your utility company, let us know which company you would like to pay and we will try to add them. We are always trying to add new billers to make paying your bills at Cliff’s even more convenient! *List of billers is subject to change.

Q: Can I pay my cell phone bill at a Cliff’s location?​
A: In many instances, yes! AT&T, MetroPCS, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless customers can now make payments at any of our locations. Bring in your current monthly bill or cell phone number for any of our listed billers and pay your bill quickly and easily. Fees start at $2.00 per bill payment. Q: Can I buy change at Cliff’s?​
A: Yes, you can purchase roll change at Cliff’s and exchange denominations of paper currency for a fee. Click here to see our fee schedule.
